Singing and Googling

So, Chloee comes home with new songs......And like any other 3 year old child and their singing/pronunciation of words, a lot of times I can't quite understand the song {unless it's one I know from when I was little, and even then I still have to Google it to remember all the words} So whenever she has a new song, I come to work and Google it so I can go home and sing it with her.

The newest song goes like this:

One, Two, Three, Four, Five,

Once I caught a fish alive!

Six, Seven, Eight, Nine, Ten,

Then I let it go again!

Why did you let it go?

Because it bit my finger so!

Which finger did it bite?

This little finger on the right! {And right hand goes up in the air}

Boys and Girls..

We are going to Dayne's t-ball ballgame tonight {Amanda and Russell's boy}. We were able to make it to one of Luke's {Nicole's son...his 1st year playing}, one of Colton's {Bill's brother's boy} and now one of Dayne's..{which it's also his 1st year playing too.} We missed Reid's ballgames this season {another one of Bill's brother's boys}, and Matt's games for school are over {ANOTHER one of Bill's brother's boys}. But Matt does start Senior Little League soon so I'm sure we will make it to at least one of his games. ALL THESE BOYS!

Chloee will probably play t-ball next year..Bill's wants her to anyway. So I told him I would take care of the gym/cheer practices {that's what we plan to do this summer instead of tap} and making sure she gets all of that accomplished.....And he can take care of t-ball.

Back to Chloee's change up this summer..I have decided to switch her to full time gymnastics. This past year she has taken tap and they would do gym for the last 15 minutes or so. Now she will just do full time gymnastics and also start on the Carolina Thunder Recreational. Carolina Thunder is a cheer competition team that has two older teams that compete everywhere and then the recreational team. The recreational team will go to maybe two or so local competitions but that's it. In general it is to get her started for the real thing. I'm excited to start her in this, I know she is going to love it. I asked her before I decided to change her if she wanted to do this and she told me yes. {But if she tells me she doesn't like it of course we will do something different.} When we were at the recital, the girls that were tumbling really caught Chloee's eyes. She said {and she has said before} that that's what she wants to do, so that's what we're doing...

I HAVE DECIDED THAT I'M NOT FOND OF GARDENIAS WHEN THE WHITE FLOWER TURNS YELLOW, NOT ATTRACTIVE...I WONDER IF THERE IS SOMETHING I CAN SPRAY ON THEM TO KEEP THEM WHITE....I HAVE ALSO DECIDED TO BECOME A PART OF THE 4-H AT RISK YOUTH COMMITTEE. 1ST MEETING IS JUNE 1ST. I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT BUGS, INSECTS, ANTHROPOLOGY, HORSES, COWS, OUTSIDE IN GENERAL OTHER THAN GARDENING, SO HOPEFULLY I WILL BE ABLE TO GIVE MY OPINIONS IN A DIFFERENT CATEGORY? I AM EXCITED TO JUST BE INVOLVED IN HELPING KIDS THAT NEED IT.

GOING OVER TO AMANDA'S TO {SUNBATHE} ON SATURDAY & I HAVE MY COUSIN'S WEDDING ON SUNDAY. CHLOEE HASN'T BEEN TO THE POOL YET THIS YEAR, SO I'M SURE SHE WILL BE VERY EXCITED TO SWIM!! {NOT TO MENTION BEING ABLE TO HANG WITH DAYNE MAKES HER DAY AS WELL} HAPPY MEMORIAL WEEKEND TO US!

CHLOEE'S DANCE RECITAL 5.23.10

We had a GREAT weekend. Chloee's recital was yesterday, her very 1st recital ever! When the curtains opened she had the brightest eyes! She said she wasn't scared or nervous afterward but she looked a little nervous to me. She did a great job, you could tell that she was trying really hard to get it right...and for the most part she knew all of her steps. One part of the dance they get in a line and "sprinkle sprinkle down"..well it's not in any order of who is in front, it's just which child runs to the front first. I told Chloee to run really fast so she could be in front {and she did} haha. I was at the Citizens Center when the doors opened at 9AM to reserve our seats {front row}..Allison the studio owner was like "You don't mess around do you?" Then we were back at 2:30 and Chloee performed at 3:30. Bill's mom and dad came, my dad, Storm & my sister Emma, Nicole and Maddie, Grannie, Patsy, and my mom and Dennis. We went and ate after the 1st break, I ran to Bi-lo to get Chloee her flowers and we were back to watch the rest and to do Awards. Just Bill and I stayed for awards. What a long {but great} day! We stopped by the store on the way home, and when Bill opened Chloee's door to give her her drink, her trophy fell out and broke in half. Ahh, I was more upset than Chloee. Bill glued it back together this morning. Everything that happens has a story to tell, so it gives it "character" I guess. These pictures that are posted are of us getting ready for the recital...I just cannot get enough pictures of this event!! Oh and P.S. after Chloee's pictures 2 weeks ago I had left her outfit in my car hanging for a couple days, and didn't realize until we got to the Citizen's Center that her outfit was "faintly faded" into a fuchsia instead of hotpink..nobody else could tell, but I knew it. Way to go MOM.

My Trendy Dancing Child..

Well this past weekend I took Chloee shopping. And we were on a "mission". Specifically for "Twinkle Toes" and "Silly Bandz"...MISSION ACCOMPLISHED (along with other shopping bags of course). These two items that we went for though are the hottest "trend" for the kiddos..{twinkle toes for younger girls}.

I also took Chloee to Will's birthday party..Will would be my sister in law's sisters son...(it's always so confusing for me to explain family ties...good thing this one was easy)...well we had already purchased the 8 packs of silly bands and Chloee was "armed" full of them..ha. She did the sweetest thing when we got there, she gave Will one of the {heart} bands...which I just thought to myself, she understands what all the older kids do with these things and she is just growing up WAY TOO FAST! LOVE HER:)

This Sunday is Chloee's VERY 1st dance recital! I am sooo excited about it too. I just can't wait to see her on stage. See her reaction to the crowd when she dances, and how big she smiles when Allison gives her her trophy and I give her flowers....It will for sure be a very very special evening.

DANCE GIRL, DANCE..Write Mom,Write...

I really need to get better at blogging daily. I will try my best. Kinda defeats the purpose of writing to remember if all I do is post pictures and randomly write;) So I have been busy the last couple days. I have had Chloee's dance stuff going on. Pictures were Tuesday. DID NOT realize what a fiasco that would be. Getting her ready? Fine. Actually went great. Going to the studio (on time....actually 15 minutes early) AND sitting there for an hour? WOW. All I can say is there is only so much you can say to a 3 yr old little girl to make her be careful and not mess her hair up for a WHOLE HOUR. Add other little girls into the mix..playing ring around the rosey and "all falling down"??? HAAA, that is for sure a panic attack waiting to happen. Not to mention I decided it would be a "good idea" to let her wear some mascara (that wasn't waterproof) for these pictures. Guess I forgot that she randomly cries? She cried when I put her outfit on b/c it hurt to get on..and it really did, that thing is TIGHT AND ITCHY. I can tell just by looking at it. She cried when I made her go to the bathroom with me to "talk", which is really what we did, I talked and she cried. But anyway, all turned out well and I didn't poke my eyeballs out:) See below for the snapshots I took, I love them all:) Can't wait to get the others back && see how they turned out.
